Valencia Basket finish the first leg of the Liga Endesa on the Dreamland Gran Canaria court
Liga Endesa round 17

Valencia Basket men’s team close out the first half of the Liga Endesa season with the final game of a run of four consecutive weeks playing three games per week, as they visit Dreamland Gran Canaria (Sunday the 25th, 13:00, Gran Canaria Arena, DAZN) in a Matchday 17 clash in the acb.
The taronja side wrap up a demanding week with their 13th game in 29 days, chasing a victory that would mathematically secure their status as a top seed for the Copa del Rey draw and represent their best-ever first half in the Liga Endesa in a season combined with EuroLeague play (they have never reached 13 wins in the first half of an acb campaign while also competing in Europe’s top continental competition).
To achieve this, they will need to end a poor regular-season run at the Gran Canaria Arena that dates back to October 2016, although last season they managed to break their own curse on this court by winning in overtime in Game 2 of the Liga Endesa quarterfinal playoff series.
The taronja team will try to rediscover their usual rhythm against an opponent that plays at the slowest pace in the league, is among the teams that concede the fewest points, and forces a high number of turnovers from its rivals. Head coach Pedro Martínez has his full roster available for the game.
Valencia Basket head into this final game of the first half of the season with a 12–4 record.
